The Heritage Sign Languages Center aligns with Gallaudet's Promise Bilingual Mission by acknowledging Deaf individuals with intersectional identities.HSLC offers a platform for First Nations, Indigenous, and Native American individuals to share their linguistic and cultural stories about family, education, work, and community. The goal is to highlight their counternarratives about Indigenous Deaf experiences in language and culture within the Deaf community.
